The first NSU Prinz was powered by a 2 cylinder 600 cc engine with an ingenious eccentric rod driven camshaft. It was only the later cars that had a 4 pot, but even these were of a very technical design.
I had quite a few of these cars when I was importing used cars from Belgium in the early seventies, never had a 1200 TT though, but did have a 1000 TT which was a very fast car in it's day
The engine was later used in the VW K70 which was a NSU with VW badge.
also had a couple of the DKW 1000 SP's the 'Mini Thunderbird'
