I am one of the few members both old enough and on the right side of the pond to have considered buying one of these (full-size) when they were new!

I lusted monstrously after an Ro80, as mentioned by P, but no way could I afford it, so split the difference and bought an Audi 100LS when most people didn't know what they were either!

Possibly my all time favourite personal car, though I accept that distance lends enchantment to the view.

Incidentally, in case anyone is wondering about the wandering (clue here!), we remain right on topic because Audi, DKW and NSU were all at one time part of Auto-Union although NSU was a late acquisition.
So do you know who were the original members denoted by the classic 4-ring logo?
