I saw the video Chris, are you running the car with stock tyres?
This car looks really nice.
On my scalex track they run pretty nice out of the box.
Do you have the Escort?

Hi, yes stock tyres. No problem, tyres are soft and provide a lot of grip. On the BMW the tyres need some more laps but other than that, it runs quite smooth.
In Germany a lot of people complain about the low top speed. I really don't get what they are referring to. @12v I don't have any problems. Gear Ratio of 9/24 is not that stort even with small tyres.
They are not as fast as the GTs - what makes sense in opinion.

Only the gear mesh is hard to setup properly.
And I guess the tyres should be glued to the rims.

Not everything has to be stupid fast.
For the gear mesh, and also to make everything equal, I am changing the pinion to the 11 sideways (the one I get from the GT3 cars).
This makes the gear mesh much better and also tames down a bit the motor.
I have run them at 10 volts on my track and they go pretty well - at least the three alfa I got.
I am preparing 3 more...2 escort and one alfa.

Ah ok. I have a escoet under construction... it's too cold outside to paint it. Hopefully the Kadett will be released, too. Good idea ro use the sideways gears. Tomorrow I take the BMW to our club and test a bit

My two arrived this morning, to go with 4 RevoSlot Alfa’s I’ve already got 😁

I ordered the green one and the blue/white livery, they look very nice, lovely finish on them and they’ll look good against the Alfa’s. Possibly even nicer finish than the Alfas to look at in my opinion.

Unsure on whether to get 1 escort to go with the ones I have. They’re not grabbing me in the same way.

I’m looking forward to testing them once I get track laid down in the loft!

Yeah they look very nice. I have an unpainted escort whitekit that I'll finish in summer (doing paint jobs outside).
The gear mesh is a bit a pain and they are quite loud. But they are a lot of fun on smaller tracks.
Let's see what comes next ;)

I fitted a 6.5mm slot.it 11t in my 2002 (I went for the black '78 Sebring livery). Prior to this I've been a little skeptical as my Revo's run smoothly once the motor is lined up nicely. Now to buy another 15 or so for my other Revo's...

Would be rather nice from my viewpoint if Revoslot made a representation of one of Hubert Hahne's cars. He had a long career as a driver, and even a handful of F1 outings, but is mostly remembered in Touring cars.

He died four years ago at 84, and really shouldn't be forgotten.
