A very nice repaint Dave.

Robb those arches look right to me, here are a couple of photographs I took of the original car at the 1974 BA1000km

Lovely pictures David - that 911 RSR was such a beast!

I'm planning on altering the livery to the accurate version as illustrated by your photos. Dont think the decals are available though, so it looks like I'll be using my paintbrush...

Cheers,

Thanks Leo.

I have a sheet of DMC Martini Porsche/Lancia decals on order, so at least I'll have the martini door logo and other porsche lettering to get me started.

The team at Scalextric France certainly knew what they were doing when they produced this back in the 70s - one of the best 911 RSR bodyshells out there in my opinion.

The one I have is the worst !! Its the grey/silver one with the flow marks in the colour. Always fancied a red one - could have done swap !!
Ah well - c'est la vie :- (

I agree Dave there are some very accurate looking French Scalextric shells which are transformed by a good paint job.

Nice work Dave. The silver paint accentuates the shape of the body nicely. Who would have thought that beautiful (or beastly) body was hiding within that red plastic livery! Very nice transformation. Please keep us posted when you finish the relivery.
