We're just completing the last details of the tracks and clubroom before racing formally begins again next week. Old friends will find Scalex track familiar - but different. It's around eight feet shorter (the run down to the hairpin to the left of the driver's stations has been cut), slightly more straightforward, flatter, smoother and perhaps more grippy. So, quicker!

We're aiming to do as good a job with the scenery as possible, within the constraints of a club racing environment:

Hi Bill, that's just the pic - the main straight is just the same as before - but the sweeper at the end is now banked. I don't think you should have any need to shorten gearing. We'll add some comments from our experience from our first nights racing next Thursday.

The refurbishment of our Scalex track is now complete and ready for racing. I think it is better than ever. Thanks to all the club members who made this possible.

Look forward to seeing you on Sunday!

The first club race on the refurbished Scalex track at Rockingham took place last night - a good time was had by all! The track is in very good condition for the Classic Open this weekend.

There was one casualty during testing for the Classic unfortunately - one of Dave Farrow's GP stable had an excursion onto the floor....
