Our first meeting after the eight week break is at the Brands Hatch track that was going to be used when it was thought F1 was going to return to the Kent circuit

I was reading the HOLM post, and at the same time the scores from the UFHORA Nats and something struck me.

For rounds like this one why do the cars return to the start line after each heat, when they could just move one lane sideways and carry on, as per the HOLM format.

You only need to take the 'bits' after the fourth heat, as per the UFHORA support races.

It was a Pateman double on Tuesday night when DHORC resumed after an eight week break with Lee winning the Adults and Jacob the Juniors. Despite it being a blisteringly hot night with wall to wall sun, not a cloud not in sight 22 racers stepped up to the plate to take on what was going to be the new Brands Hatch when it was thought F1 would return to the Kent circuit.

Lee broke no less than three track records during the evening on the way to his fifth win of the year. The evening's results were as follows: -
