QUOTE (LeeH @ 1 Mar 2012, 19:10) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Speaking of toys need help to get some f1 tycos and my own mod. Help????
Probably best off speaking to Tony mate regarding the F1 and MOD. My F1 was brought by Jimbo when he went to Gaydon for a race meet, pound for pound that is probably one of my bestest cars and cost me only £6 (Chick-Ching) it's all down to luck when buying and I got a really decent motor in that one. Now getting a decent MOD (Marchon) is becoming more like the search for the holy grail as parts are becoming less and less. You could go down Jimbo's route and use a Lifelike.

Best of luck, I have a few F1 Tyco's you could look at, at the next meet and see what you think.

Oh Yeah man, 'Lifes a beach' in the West Indies, looking from the balcony at the sea just 50 yards away

Back in just over a week 'sighs'.

Happy to help you then.

LeeH,

As Leet said Tony has a selection of tyco's for sale so have a word with him, however Tony's club cars are very good so I don't think you will be at much of a disadvantage if you use them. It's nice to have your own cars though!

Again repeating Leet, the marchon is the proven platform for MOD at SCHORC. At the last meet a believe Tony had a couple of wide Marchon's in the shop, they would prob need replacement motors though.

I am attempting to build a competitive mod from a Lifelike-T chassis, but at last months meet it was well off the pace of the Marchons. Hopefully I will have closed the gap a little this month, time will tell. You are welcome to try one of my Lifelike's if you like.

I am looking forward to mod this month as Steve and Dave's performances last month really took a step forward and this month Leet will have his new car so hopefully it should be close racing at the top!

If Tony wouldn't mind me borrowing his Mod again would be ace. Will have to see what can sort for tyco. Need to sort my own cars out but not got first clue about getting a competitive marchon.

Jimbo, what changes do you make to the life like for it to be mod as may attempt to turn one of my chassis into a schorc mod?

Doubt he would lend you that MOD again, just so you would take points off him.

A Tyco should not be a problem as he has loads of them.

LeeH,

There are people at the club who can advise re the Marchon, plus there's always this forum. My lifelike is a work in progress and may never be competitive! First time out it was standard with some low tires and a lightweight body. It now has a new rear axle, hubs and crown gear. Have to wait to the 14th to see if that's helped!

That sounds like your LifeLike should go like the clappers Jim. I'm eagerly awaiting your results from the 14th as it could indicate how well you, me and Paul R run at Marlborough on the 25th.
