They were Reprotec, not Pink Kar.

I've got a few of their cars with that set up.

I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to make copies of these in resin maybe?? A bit of pocket money there for someone if they went ahead and did that. These are great for converting Scalextric that have old/knackered motors and need to be upgraded.
Cheers,
Tom.

These Teamslot adapters should let you adapt just about any of the standard FC/FK130 or RX motors to the old open frame chassis.

checkout this page to see all spares:

You could also use a new version of the RX open frame motor from Teamslot (TS1) or Pink Kar support RV012 which includes the small HO type motor(these are pretty hard to find)

Hope this helps.

FF slimline motors have only been on the market for two or three years, so why would Pink Kar and reprotec have made adaptors for them years before they were around?

If they fit in an RX SCX chassis lengthways but you just need to extend the connection then simple lengths of styrene or aluminium tubing will do the trick. A pad along the bottom of the cockpit will hold the motor to stop it spinning.

I can remember buying a Reprotech H-16 BRM Copy about 8 years ago with a FF slimline 050 can in it, with the adaptor. I think your timing may be a little off.
