I've just made a visit to the Scalextric site.

Click the 'Big Sale' icon and at the bottom of the page are 30K RPM Slimline motors @ just £4.99 each.

Yes but have you ever tried one?

I bought some earlier this year at the £4.99 price thinking that - the Green 25K scaly FF are lovely motors so what's not to like about even more grunt?

A total and utter lack of brakes, that's what and a power delivery like an on/off switch.

I checked four samples before deciding never, ever to use one again...
