Hi Marlon,
QUOTE (MAF @ 10 Dec 2015, 13:42) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I can add one of these units to a bog standard scalextric track and I don't need any special chips in the cars etc? In other words I can have all these features and run any of my scratchbuilt cars etc on standard analogue track and it will work?
Yes! - a direct replacement for an existing analogue powerbase in any 2-lane Scalextric Sport track (or with a trackpiece adapter to connect in other types of track). It's not digital racing - that will be in the forthcoming ARC Pro.

ARC Air is similar to Arc One but adds wireless throttle controllers, as well as a couple of other optional game-type features like weather and incidents.
As with Arc One you also need to provide a compatible tablet (like Tesco's ÂŁ99 HUDL2) or phone to display the race data and to setup the options. You don't need any special chips in the car.

The pit sensors are slotted opto sensors under the beginning and the end of the powerbase track piece - you just need to stop between them to "enter" the pits.
The car slot guides need to be totally opaque to be detected. If you have any translucent or coloured ones, you may need to change them or paint them. Other than that, any slot car will work.
