You can use classic borders on the sport track, but you will find that the classic borders are slightly longer than the sport one's. I am refering to the standard curve outer borders in particular. When you have a 90 deg turn and use 4 outers you will end up with the fourth border overlapping the straight by around half an inch or so.

I recently converted all my track to Sport and used my existing Classic 'sand trap' borders with no problems. They are a slightly harder fit than the genuine sport version and as Mo55man mentioned they are marginally different lengths.

This doesn't cause a problem until you mix up the barriers between the sport and classic and have to spend 20 minutes sorting them out like I did!

Scalex Classic borders and Sport borders (as long as they are with yellow 'sandtraps' with the clipin silver/grey barriers are interchangeable. The only difference is that Sport versions have tiny anchor clips that hold the silver/grey barriers only slightly more securely.

I've found no difference at all on many layout changes (but have found a few places thats ell the non-Sport cheaper than the Sport!). I think people buy the Sport name thinking they've got better stuff...but it's the same really!
