I've heard of various methods over the years: water as you did, steam from a kettle, oven set on low, etc. Only tried it once (hot water) on the VIP sharknose Ferrari, and it was a failure. I'd also like to hear people's experiences with more current resin bodies: I have a 1/32 sportscar that has a pronounced twist in it along it's lengthwise axis!
