Offered for sale my Scalextric Dallara Indy. Seemingly far more robust (especially the front end) than many Scalextric F1 and Indy cars.

This car has been raced but still runs as new. Unmodiified except for some added lead and softer copper braids.

No sensible offer refused. Post & Packing will be £3.65, sent by Recorded Delivery.

Please PM with questions and offers.

No I'm sorry but all my cars were for racing and not display. Never thought I'd be selling them.

Special Delivery costs £6.35, and the box and padded envelope add another £1.00 to that. Hardly a rip-off IMO.

I don't remember mentioning the words "rip" or "off".
My opinion, for what it's worth, is that there is no need for special delivery for a relatively cheap slot car. If you were prepared to post it recorded delivery for £3.65 to a SF member why decide it needs special delivery at twice the price once listed on Ebay?

My comment was not suggesting you were ripping anybody off but more putting people off by demanding OTT postage rates.

I still wish you good luck with it.

Point taken - perhaps I was feeling a little sensitive about such stuff. The decision was influenced by a previous sale earlier this month when a carefully packaged car was sent Recorded Delivery and was damaged on arrival.

Didn't mean to bite your head off. Sorry.

You didn't and you owe no apology. If anything my post was a little harsh in the first place.

Too many folk are falling out on here, so easy to take comments out of context or read something into them that isn't really there. I'm sure if we'd had the above conversation in the pub it would have been both good natured and good humoured. (or perhaps ended in a punch up...
)

I understand you wanting to get youur items to their destination safely but think that you'll get less for your items overall by charging the higher postage rate. Hope you prove me wrong though.

All the best.

Dave
