Been thinking about getting this for the cool lane changing. This sounds like the best idea ever. Anyone got any decent opinions or info on this. £100+ is a bit much to shell out for something i haven't heard that much about.
Thanks, Marc

All reports of digital have been 'fun', it looks like a product that is here to stay (though there are a few skeptics!). People who have tried it are generally of the opinion that it adds more depth and strategy to the racing, though all admit it is different to conventional slot racing.

There are 3 systems available, from scalextric, carrera and SCX (with ninco planning one in the next couple of years or so). At the moment it is difficult to say the true benefits of each system, because the ranges are still being developed by all the manufacturers.

Darainbow has a great comparrison chart, although it describes the systems as they are right now - emphasising problems and gaps in system ranges that may not be the case in 6 weeks time. (for example it has just been announced today that SSD will have pit lanes)

They all have their strengths and weaknesses, and because they are a very new product, they also all have various teething problems.

The best thing you can do is to try it
