Thanks Tropi,

Couldn't help notice the ETA Autumn 2004... blimey, sooner than expected.

F1 cars in Digital racing, that's going to make interesting racing... I hope there are some spare nose cones provided in the box.

Digital Nascars/Ascars might be worth considering at some stage.

It appears that ALL recent cars will be convertible to digital so, depending on how much that costs, choice of car would seem not to be going to be a problem.
I imagine almost any car, of any make, will be convertible to Scalextric digi-control. It will be only a tiny number that won't be possible and I would imagine that will be limited to small single seaters.

Tropi, having myself discussed this very topic just yesterday with someone who should know, I believe that your summation is correct. Hornby are very much a forward-looking company and I am aware that a well known Italian manufacturer has already requested and been given details of the components required to convert their cars, to enable them to run on Scalextric's digital system.

Kind regards

Russell
