What a wonderful photo.
It reminds me of my childhood and what made me fall in love with slot cars. The type of track I could only dream of - I had to make do with an old, rusty and bumpy Plexytrack laid out in the loft, "Race Tuned" controllers which I had, and a Matra GP which I didn't. I lusted after one so much, but my measly pocket money and then earnings from my paper-round didn't stretch far enough. It wasn't until the advent of eBay many years later that I finally owned one.
How many of us spent hours thumbing through Scalextric's 1969 catalogue hoping upon hope that a birthday or Christmas might bring us a Matra or Lotus Indianapolis?
