It's out, looks great..

Here is a little more detail to whet your appetite, but however you look at it, if you are an F1 fan it is a fine addition to the grid even if the years are slightly askew, this is the 2003 car driven by 'Jarno Trulli' and the previous 'Sport' releases have been from 2002..

Scalextric just keep the quality coming..

Crips clear paint and tampo work, coupled with fine tolerance 'space' and clearance solutions..

Drivers helmet could be better, but I am being picky here and remember that 'super macro' photos show details the naked eye won't see..

Usual Sport wrap motor, I suspect still the standard Scaley issue across their range..

It runs with the new guide so it will be interesting to compare it to previous 'Sport' F1 releases. It still. of course, features the detacheable nose cone to prevent those nasty breaks you used to get when crashing the older release open wheel cars...

Nice detailing on the wheels and the 'on tyre' tampo work just gets better and better!..

Chassis is slimmer than previous and I find it amazing they even found suitable space to fit the now well known 'sport' badge

One screaming difference is the fact that, as usual these days, Sponsors logos are missing where they apply to Tobacco advertising.

This can easily be fixed by placing an Order with someone like 'Iceman', who makes decals on request. Don't forget the 'OZ wheels' ones for the rims

That magnet looks huUUUuge!

Eerrr... where was I? Right! Looks like a job well done by Scalex in the detailing stakes, given the necessary compromises to fit the 's' can motor and rear diff under the topcover... and also the complete lack of tobacco sponsorship. I grew up with the Lotus JPS' and Graham Hill and his Embassy Shadow, so I should be smoking 50 a day by now if there's any correlation between advertising on toys (and the real thing, for that matter!) and the taking up of smoking.... No.. wait I have NOT EVER smoked a tobacco product in 38 years.

That car is defiantly going on 'the list', as is the challenger and maybe a Slot.It Porsche or 2. Will probably be after Xmas though as a little shop I know will have a sale on. This year it was 10% off every thing. That meant sport cars for £22.49!

The Renault does look a bit bare, but it makes up for it on the detailing! Nice to see helmet detail too.

I have made the decals for the Renault 2003 car, with the tobacco,oz racing, and driver helmet decals.I have included some pictures of my Renault 2003 on the Scalextric McLaren.
When the Renault 2004 car is launched,I will be doing the decals for it as well.
