I bought a couple of Scalex cars one an Escort with this slim motor in so i decided to put a faster one in it a 25K Sport car goes very well but hates slowing for corners rolls well though, i have tried gears from 3 to 1 to 4,4 and a half to one no go before i throw the motor off the top of the local flats any ideas cheers Keith.

The standard Scalextric FF motor is believed to pump out around about 20kish and that is way too much grunt for most of the cars that have it fitted especially cars with high COGs, like an Escort. So a 25k motor will turn your car into a lethal weapon .....

The only ways to control the FF Beasts, that works for me, is to turn the volume down or use digital and something like Display-Pro (standalone) or SSDC (PC based).

IF have also seen analouge users convert to motors that rev at 10k. These ff motors are also really punchy low down.

When I ran pbpro I used to turn the volts down to as low as 9v to try and get F1 cars to run at a more sane speed.
