Jesus wept. They don't learn at Margate do they?

Here's Wankel's little HTML tip for you guys:

QUOTE

Means that your average UK Johnnie on an 800x600 screen won't see the text underneath your oh so pretty pictures. Hell, on a 1024x768 you don't get to see it all.

And you don't need a fullstop after an exclamation mark.

Man, I hope they coded the software better than the site.

Tsch, tsch, tsch.

Moped, I congratulate you on simply posting the link and not hyperbolixing it. Much appreciated.

I would agree that the centre scrolling of text does make the site look a bit messy.

The text needs a seperate window with scroll bars, or the whole window needs scroll bars on the left and at the bottom possibly.

And some of the screen shot images are not too clear.

And there appears to be no text under many of the screen shots to explain what you are seeing.

And what has happened to the video. If its not yet available you should be told.

So not a good start.

Maybe its a test site that should not yet be in the public domain and was put on the wrong server?

Where did I get the link from?

Pure logic!

I considered what web site domain Scalextric would register for "Scalextric SPORT World" and added a "www." and a ".com" at each end of my deduction!

PS try doing the same for Scalextric SPORT Digital.

Regardless of how it was found (by chance or intuition), it strikes me as odd that any company would use a "live" domain for an unannounced, and obviously imperfect, web site. Somewhat more amateurish than I would have expected from Scaley! Maybe I'm harsh but if this is as important to them as dialog here would seem to make it, then I just don't get it...

Moped, we've had a link on the bottom of the SW Toy Fair review since it was published.

That is the mini-site that has been on the Spike (www.spike.co.uk) website for a while now. http://www.spike.co.uk/sportWorld/index.html. It's not anything like the final site that still is being worked on.

Spike are 3D programming and development specialists.

You can see now that Spike are the ones who developed RMS and are working on SportWorld and Sport Digital software.

Spike have done 3D work for Lego and Disney amongst others.

Generics is the electronics lab that have worked on the hardware and PC interface.

Adrian at the Toyfair asked me what if it was £500 what would I say to that? I said that for the club I`d buy it because it suits my requirements. He then told me it would be £70 and that` s all the kit included. A bargain I reckon. Check out the cost of some of the race management software out there, £70 is nothing. The price of two cars? Well depends on what make I suppose
