micro scalextric are better for children to thrash around as they stick to the track a lot better a combination of magnet strength/small cars !
hence children will not get fed up of constantly stoping to put there car/turtle on track and will hopefully in the longterm give them a better experience of scalextric before they move on to their dads layouts etc
i think it will be a good move in the longterm for our hobby
