I haven't noticed these anywhere else but in Australia. They were a surprise for us here as we didn't know they were coming. Only had a pic of the Renault with new engine showing. Will get pics of the Williams.

They look to be using the Moto GP engine.

Here is a pic of the new Scalextric Walrus nose F1 with a couple of Renaults. One of our members at Auslot.com picked them up yesterday.

As I have said in the other thread I am very impressed with Scalextric efforts with these new F1 cars.

Has anybody got a couple of nice close up shots of the Williams? I keep finding long distance teasers, which suggest it looks good, but nothing detailed!

Watch this space - took some closer shots, and Vinno1 will be posting them shortly.

Is the Williams the same design as the new Renault, in the respect that it has a one piece body shell and new motor?

McLaren
Why couldn't they get the helmets right?

Thats what I wanted to see!
(I had even looked on home Racing World, obviously not very well!)

Strange that they can do the Renault helmets but not the Williams drivers. Must be something to do with the rights invloved in reproducing the designs?

Typical, I see that there are pictures on the official Scalextric website as well today!

As promised here are a couple more pictures.

The rear body shape is very good the way the tapering has been done as in the 1 to 1 car.

Thanks Vinno1,

Certainly the clearest photos I have seen and trust me I have been looking everywhere! Scalextric seem to be increasing the detail level with every new release. Excellent!

They released the 2004 nMcLaren already and it's a re-livery of the 2001(-2002?) car...

From my experiences in the diecast world... the driver details are licensed separate from the car details. Different driver managers demand different sums.

Note that few diecast F1 cars have a driver figure at all these days when this used to be common.
