Scaley Digital PSU

G'day all,
I was wondering whether anyone here on the forum can tell me if its possible to use either a UK/USA digital transformer for the new 6 car APB with an adaptor for use in Australia. I have a few items round the house that have these adaptors and they work fine. Are all the transformers themselves identical with different plugs for the different regions of the world or are there any differences? Any help with this would be great.
Thanks
Matt

Cheers 300SLR, learn something new everday. I didn't know that about the Australian voltage being 'harmonised' with certain trading companies. Might actually wait until the digital PSUs finally come back into stock here in West Australia.

Thanks raikkonen_webber fan,
I have looked at Armchairs site and noticed that they were in stock. I was going to get a couple of these until I read Rich G's thread on the aftermarket Toshiba 15v 5A PSU. At a cost of $89.95 each for the C7038 plus postage from Sydney to Western Australia, I'll be looking at around $200 to power the APB. I know I can get the Toshiba PSU's for about $18.99 each with free delivery here in Oz. So I can spend $200 for the C7038's or $38.00 for the Toshiba's. I would like to stick with the Scaley power supplies but if the Toshibas will do the same job I'd rather save the cash for other items for the track. I really can't understand how there is such a huge difference in price between the UK/USA and the Oz transformers. The only thing that is stopping me from purchasing the Toshiba PSU's at the moment is not knowing the correct pin size (reading the digital threads on this forum I have come across roughly 3 different pin sizes alone-give or take a mm or 2). Until my APB arrives this week (hopefully-no rush as I'm also waiting for controllers/chips and lane changers) I do not know the exact pin size. If anyone on this forum could help me with the pin size and anymore info on the Toshiba PSU's I would be rapt. Maybe I'll have to stick with the Scaley PSU's but as I said I'm in no rush as the analogue is up and running and I'm sure I can get them around Perth if I look hard enough. But without knowing more about the Toshiba's I'll wait for now and watch and learn.
Cheers
Matt.

Thanks Chris,
Been reading the other threads and links about the Toshiba PSU's and have had a look on the net and I'm pretty sure that your barrel and pin size are what others have used. I have noticed on the threads that I have spent the last few days reading that no-one has really answered RichG's question about how these psu's have been going(I'd write down the thread no etc but that might take me a few hours to find). Like I said earlier I'll keep reading more posts as I've got nothing to lose learning.
PS. The Fremantle Doctor still blows as strong at it always has and Fremantle hasn't really changed that much over the years (to me anyway,ok the price of a cold beer has!)
And like Chris has said, any feedback on this would be great.
Cheers
Matt
