And sometimes it lies! The switches sometimes rebound and display impossibly low times. I've seen it on mine and one other. I replaced with a trakmate system so now we can argue thousandths instead of tenths
I have read that the switch is lower on the Sport version of the lap counter because the rails are recessed. On my classic section it works fine. If you find a classic one, glue it to a base, and cut out the ties you will have a slot as deep as Sport.
I put a pair of LEDs in my lap counter so if we want to use the computer it's the same starting line.
