Hiya,

Is it possible with the timer to just time your laps without first having to put in a number of laps?

I have just got one off eBay and with no instructions I have no idea!! LOL

No its not possible. You enter the number of laps and if you do a record lap time the timer beeps and the time is shown briefly on the display.

The best lap time is shown when the race has been completed.

And sometimes it lies! The switches sometimes rebound and display impossibly low times. I've seen it on mine and one other. I replaced with a trakmate system so now we can argue thousandths instead of tenths

Thanks for the info guys I will have to watch out for the low lap time thing though...or I may just claim it for my own!! LOL

I have read that the switch is lower on the Sport version of the lap counter because the rails are recessed. On my classic section it works fine. If you find a classic one, glue it to a base, and cut out the ties you will have a slot as deep as Sport.

I put a pair of LEDs in my lap counter so if we want to use the computer it's the same starting line.
