Rick, the Australian inventor of the Scorpius digital system, will be demonstrating at G T Raceway on Sunday 5th February from 10.30 am.
There will be no charge but those attending are welcome to donate some cash to a charity i support.
Refreshments will be available.

Wow, great news for digital fans in the UK. It'd be good to compare Scorpius with the Slot.it system. I'd like to attend, but have a feeling that the date will clash with the Derby HO race. If it doesn't, count me in.

*edit* followed by eek! at short notice. Will try my best.

It would be nice to think that Rick gets a lot of support bearing in mind the distance he is travelling to demonstrate Scorpius. I realise that it's short notice but there are a lot of racers within a reasonable radius of G T Raceway.
Come and take a look.

Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing the analogue module in action.
Rick, what is the rough spec? Price, current rating, voltage range? Will it work with an unregulated supply?
Provided it doesn't clash with anything, I might bring a few of the old girls to stretch their legs.

I went to the Scorpius test at GT Raceway a few years back, i think it was Jan 2009, so 3 years..
It will be interesting to see the progress Rick has made with Scorpius. The system was impressive back then.

Not sure i can make it due to going to a friends karting party the night before but i am going to try and make it down there.
I have not quite kept up to date with development so would like to get myself up to speed with where the Scorpius system is at.

Hi Joel.
The prototype I'm bringing is 7A continous. 8-18V any half decent power supply. The release one will be 50A continuous!

Look forward to catching up Shaun if you can make it. Since then the controller has had 3 upgrades, a USB dongle developed along with the new race management system and around 4 car decoder upgrades!
If you liked it then you will love it now.

As well as Tea and Coffee, there will be bacon or sausage sandwiches available.
We will be open whatever the weather. If you haven't visited us before, the road for the last mile is fairly narrow and there arte some deep potholes. Also take it slowly as there are often horse with ignorant riders on the road.
