QUOTE (injectorman @ 18 Jun 2011, 13:06) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Random lane changing too seems to sit uncomfortably with me.

If you have 2 constant speed ghost cars running around and randomly changing lanes, surely at some stage they are going to rear end one another, it's unusual to have 2 cars running at the exact same speed. I guess it depends on how often they change lanes, though I think it would be annoying having them constantly changing lanes all the time.

I'd be happy to have 2 constant speed ghost cars which stay in their own lanes (or one car on the best line) when having competitive racing. This would be typical of coming up onto back markers in real life, they should hold their line, are going slower and is something you have to plan for as a driver. Slower cars mean you'll be lapping them more regularly so are coming into play more often during a race, a fast pace car might not even be lapped by a slower driver.

Faster programmed pace cars would be great to have something to race against on your own.

Can this system run (or be made to run) analogue racing also?
This would be a valuable feature for commercial tracks being able to switch between the two forms of racing with a single RMS.

QUOTE (glengtl1 @ 17 Jul 2011, 16:04) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>yes i have an f18 that fly across the track,

Oh I've definately gotta see that!!!!!!!
Imagine the sound of and F18 thumping through a massive subwoofer

Way cool.

I had a quick blast with a 1/18 scale Commodore the other night at a mates track. He built it on a custom brass chassis and had a 16D motor, good fun and it went well.

Is fuel consumption and other important features audible with RMS and if so how? Every lap, push a button etc?
Personally, I find it difficult to look at an RMS screen and race a car at the same time (unless you have a massive straight).

QUOTE (ScorpiusRMS @ 16 Mar 2012, 14:10) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Oh, we also added in "Missed Lap Detection". It's disabled by default but you can turn it on in the Track Configuration. ***If you turn it on, your LBs MUST be assigned values that increase for every path in the forward direction of travel. This means that if your track forks/splits, if/when it comes back together the next "joined" LB must be greater than the last LB from both forks. Failure to set your track up this way and turning this option on will cause you to get falsely detected missed laps.

So for a bi directional track, does every LB need to be reassigned for this function to work the other direction? If so, something like a numerical polarity change would be nice.

Big race meet last night, RMS went without a hitch.

I think we might introduce pit stops the next meet with have some some of the experienced guys and see how it goes.

Thanks for your effort Dave.

Quick question, I am trying to run a fuel race and can't work out how to re-fuel the car. I have the pit entry, exit and pit bays assigned in track setup, but when I go to pit the car won't re-fuel. I thought when you enter your pit bay and stop the car, the zero throttle started the re-fuel.

Any tips would be appreciated.
