First let me be perfectly clear. The Scorpius cardata program is working, correct? If it is, read on, if it is not, then stop here get that fixed first. I think it is working, but I need to be sure or we'll waste a lot of time.
The best I can do for you is look at some logs and/or your configuration to figure out what's up. Let's start with logs so do the following:
- Make sure you're using the latest beta version of the SRMS, it's version 1.8.1.21, I can't help and/or read logs if you're not using this version but it should be very stable even though its a beta
- Launch SRMS v1.8.1.21
- Go to "file/open database folder". This will open a windows explorer folder you'll need later, just leave it open for now
- Go to "option/preferences" and set the "Log Level" to "1"
- *Click Accept
- Select the "Practice" race (if you need more details on this let me know)
- Make sure "Demo mode" is NOT checked and start the race
- **If you get the connection issue exit the race and close the SRMS completely
- Email me the log file created. It'll be named something like RCDebug.txt and it'll be in the database folder you opened previously.
* NOTE: The log level is not saved. If you want to get me more logs you'll need to set the level every time you open the SRMS
** NOTE: If the practice race works, exit the race and repeat the process, but use a race that has the problem instead of the Practice race. If this is the case it's most certainly a configuration issue in the race you're trying to run causing the SRMS to look for two dongles. I'll have to get your race configuration to figure that out...
This will tell me what the SRMS is doing at startup. It will almost certainly tell me it either can't find any dongles at all or that it was looking for a second one and couldn't find it, but at least we'll know.
