Ah, those rose-tinted spec's sure do sit comfortably on my hooter.

Why? Why has some manufacturer not realised a lot of slots are bought by a generation that grew up with these beasts?

Flywingsslotcarmodel have got close. Osteoporosis, too. But they don't count 'cos they're resin and cost too much.

Meh, like the Nissan Skyline R32 (a nod, as good as a wink) it's an as yet untapped market.

In the early 70s the touring car championship was based on list price, so it was about getting the most bang for the buck, remember seeing Tony lanfranchi at oulton Park cornering on it's door handles in a pale green moscovitch, I think it was entered or sponsored by satra motors and ran on a London reg plate, couldn't see anyone of any age group wanting one, back to the thread and YouTube has film of oulton park gold Cup 1970 featuring rindt in his 72,another golden era.
