I have just brought a couple of these as I could not resist at £20 each.

Does anyone know:

1. What rating the motor is, I might just be blind but I can't see it.
2. Can the lexan body be swapped for a standard SCX body (i.e. are the post in the correct place)
3. Where the nearest club to Slough is that would run a RAID track suitable for these as they look fantastic.

I did have a few other questions but my brain is completely dead, I will ask these when it decides to wake up.

Thanks

Colin

See my post on the other thread where you mentioned buying these, not sure what the motor is rated at, but it's a bit lacking in low down power, they handle beautifully though, really nice predictable car, but unfortunately from a SlotRallyGB point of view it's in the same class as the Avant Slots and MSCs when it's pushed to stay with a Ninco Focus - doesn't mean it isn't a very good car though.

I tried one in our club rally class last year.

It handled a treat but the motor in my opinion like any SCX just does not cut it especially against a long can motor. Pity as you cn get a long can motor mount for the other pro cars but not this one.

the motor should be 19,100 rpm. no, it won't hold up against 23k motors, but they're too much for most rally anyway. there are a couple floating around my circle & they always do well @ my rallies. my rally tracks are tight & twisty w/ lots of different tracks surfaces & elevations.
there's a Cartrix dual shaft motor out there that is an FK-180(boxer) & has plenty of power

MSC has dual shaft motor (with the rigth length shafts)with adapter. Adjust so front wheels sligtly of track , when car lean in curves overdriven front wheel touch track and help car trough corner
At our club it does well, keeps up with msc rs200.

MRRC65 Your english is better than my Welsh is, and that is meant to be native tongue!

SCX Pro rally cars at £20 are a steal - easily made to work on routed wood track (the car is current rally lap record and class champion at W'boro) and on mixed surfaces. In my innaugral year of slot rally GB I ran one in the prostock class and came second overall in the chanpionship.

Tyres are OK, but change for the ones you prefer. I don't rate the gears but they are OK. Motor is again OK, needs 12v+ to get it singing but easy to glue in whatever your preferred motor is.

Matt,

You bought a Xsara pro from me on e-bay last year. (Stickers118)
Is it the same one?
If it is it is good to see that the little car is running well.

I did like it when i had it but our club runs Rally races like a sprint race so it did not have enough go against Boxer 2 motored Ninco's
