Increasing voltage like that sounds very worrying!
No wonder Ninco changed them. Apparently they have made a slight miscalculation with the new ones though. My local supplier told me today that people have been telling him that there isn't enough power in them to run two cars and the lap counter. I suppose that's better than frying some kid though!
