I've done quite a few of these now, being one of my favourite cars. Feel free to add yours here too!

Some have been posted before but I thought I'd keep them in one place!

To blue one has just been finished, the car is lowered and lightened up abit with the good old dremmel but other than that is standard.
The green one has a 25K motor in and is raced regulary (Its now got a yellow stripe, for extra speed!)

I'll add more as I do them!

Nearly forgot this one, inspired by the mampe zakspeed escort which I saw on here a while ago, I had a go but using the standard chassis.

A few little tweaks to help it along is an nsr 21k long can, slot-it rear axle, gears and wheels, a slot-it independant front axle set up with I think slotting plus front wheels.
Runs very well, built from the parts bin for racing, so not the highest standard of finish but I'm pleased with the overall result.

There is "something" about Mk2 Escorts with extended arches...
All of these are great, but agree with above that the hot-rods are particularly nice. Always good to be reminded of Barry Lee, an unsung general-motorsport hero.

Kind regards, Leo

I'm a big fan of Hot Rods - how did you find the wheels on them with regards to ground / chassis clearance?

I was going to go for a set of the scalextric small size with superslicks but thought they would cause the car to ground out?

Superb
I'm currently working on a 1981 repaint. John Buffums TR7 from the Welsh. Working from the pictures I took at the finish ceremony.

Surely if they're duplicates you could repaint half of them and still have the original pretty ones to look at.
Who knows, your repaints may be even prettier than the originals.
You my friend are in a win, win situation..
Now get stripping (that's the Escorts not yourself
)

These are great work and great fun to drive on my rally track
I have got a couple of the ones from Pendles specials that will undergo some Aussie repaints.
One of which will be an easy one to pick for the Aussie rally fans
