I've always assumed (bad habit, I know) the motors were the same apart from the extra bit of armature shaft and second pinion on the RX-81. The RX-61 is supposedly the "hotter" motor, as fitted to the SRS cars, though it does have a slightly longer armature shaft. Not that that can't be easily rectified.
