last night myself and nigel made a pact to both run scx nascars against the normal scalextric to see how they would go in competition on the axe track. The results where much better then expected nigel won the meeting with myself finishing third ( had pace for second bad luck again ) traded fast laps all night i got fastest lap ( scx ) we where on pace with scalextric cars kev was the fastest on the scalextric cars it was a fantastic night all round going to iron out a few small defects with my ford fusion ( 99 ) so its spot on looking forward to next year already jimbo

I found the SCX better to drive. They are more forgiving when you push them in to the corners. Maybe they are not so swift in a straight line but they corner sooo much better. Next season I will continue to race my SCX cars.
They seem reasonable with only a bit of lead at the front and a bit at the back where the magnet is removed. Tyre glueing and trueing the rears with a few days of oiling and they are competative. Plus they are cheap.

I prefered my SCX at the last meeting, On a short track like yours i think they are a better car. They do run out of steam on a long straight. I will be running mine next year instead of the Scaly. I had no weight at all in mine.
