I raced mine erm, briefly.
As per comments by McLaren, although another point to consider is the SCX Mini has very skinny tyres which lack traction; whereas this was never a problem with the RWD Scalextric Mini's.
It does go and you can drive it, very noisy and a tad unrefined.

I found it didn't roll but rather just drop out of the slot.
The most memorable thing; the Mini has good brakes!
