What sealer coat do you guys use on your freshly painted/decaled cars?....

I'm interested as I'm just getting round to motorising some of my kits and will reach this stage fairly quickly.

Regards

Hi Alan,

Cars i build have resin bodies. i use Halfords spray paint designed for 1:1 cars. Theres's a massive choice of colours. i use Halfords laquer (sp?) as i know it's compatible.

Cheers,

Halford's larger sized tins of 1:1 car paint and lacquer are great for resin bodies and scratchbuilds made of almost any material... the paints adhere well without attacking the surfaces of the plastics and resins. The only point to note being that the lacquer can soften and wrinkle some decals if the initial coat is too heavy. It's best to coat the decals with an initial light covering of lacquer, let this coat dry completely, and then build up the coats to protect the decals properly later.
