Well, the best thing is to get started. In the end it will be fine! Have fun and please post further photos of the building progress. Regards Jens (Kellerkind)

Hi Zook, will it be digitally powered? How many crossings do you want to make? Obligate crossing (cars have to) or optional (cars can if they want)? In my opinion crossings or flippers etc. should be easy to be reached (higher risk of flying offlane or crash in these areas). Thus meaning that one of the curves in front of the track could be best. By the way, all the over-the-edge designs have visibility-problems more or less. Why not use the space you get when all drivers have to stay back to keep everyones visibility for making the track bigger
?

"WILL PAINT FOR-----Is this particular flavor part of your forum name?

Well Zook, we should talk about this closer!...
By the way, I never would move myself to the cellar just because of a beer (aditionally I live in Germanys biggest wine-region), but in combination with some turns on the track... Second problem is that a sky of this quality cannot be done with just one beer...; in the end the clouds might get a little obscure after the 15th bottle?

ZITAT(4.3 ZOOK @ 11 Dec 2010, 21:57) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>The average height of the Douglas fir trees around here are 80' to 100',in 1:32 that's a whopping 30" to 36"
more realistic for the diorama would be 12" to 18" ,half a meter.
He wants to build trees of 50cm heigth for a slottrack? NOW it IS definitive: This guy is addicted, infected...mad!
Welcome to the club! Go on!

Hi Sig, all I know is, that the german version of that Holden is an OPEL Ascona of the late seventies. The holden is the terribly overmotorized Roooaaaarh-version, not knowing where i was produced by whom. Interested in this question, too. Regards Jens(Kellerkind)

Next track is hammered out of a massive block of 25 tons of pure blue (or still glowing?) krupp-steel, only by the power of your arms then, not even using a hammer, boys? Everything okay with you? My next track, starting soon, will be of wounderful 12mm light-weight MDF, the wooden underbody will wounderfully smell like the fresh air you breathe deeply while you take walk in a spring-forest and the rattle of the slotcars running over it will please my ears like mozarts magic flute, no need to tell you about the smooth clicking of the flippers leading the cars into the best lane...

Hey Zook! In need of further space for scenery you could possibly leave away the track...?
No! This forum -of cause- is not a place for fun and bad jokes! I like the new section and the idea of the bridge. Regards Jens

Hi zook, this is really impressing and I am really intersested is your first driving tests. In my opinion you could have been putting the righthand LC further on the right side -after the divided part-, thus enlarging the length of overtakinng area!? ...Just an idea! I always wonder about the speed you work. Sometimes I just didnt watch for hours an after clicking your thread I have to check if it really still is yours! Never boring! I like that. Regards Jens
