2fer;--If I would quit being stingy and heat the room it might seem like spring.......
and the glue and paint would dry quicker...

Ember;--

Zook - excellent work thus far! You folks using the foam have sold me. I would rather do that and joint compound on this raceway. Sculptamold is great, but very expensive for large projects. I like the way yours is turning out!

Oh, and come paint the clouds on my backdrop!

"WILL PAINT FOR-----Is this particular flavor part of your forum name?

Well Zook, we should talk about this closer!...
By the way, I never would move myself to the cellar just because of a beer (aditionally I live in Germanys biggest wine-region), but in combination with some turns on the track... Second problem is that a sky of this quality cannot be done with just one beer...; in the end the clouds might get a little obscure after the 15th bottle?

Gad Zook!!
Sorry, been wanting to do that for ages.

Photos look fantastic! Makes me want to start all over again.
Bridge looks good. Those are some serious boulders used in that bridge.

And proof that someone outside Australia bought a Torana! Pesky little critters those.

More please.

Thank You all for the positive comments,it truly brings joy to my heart!

I never once thought about the boulders being to scale, some of those are only 150 tons

The Holden was nib, $29 US shipped, couldn't pass it up.
I'm working on the back of the canyon next, there will be a waterfall behind the future bridge and to the right, a large exfoliating dome.
I've already learned two things that should have been done differently:
1-Should have left more space between the walls and track
2-more open flat space for things like,a log cabin, camping area, etc.
I'll have to make do with what I have, cliffs, cliffs, cliffs, and a valley...

E-gad zooks
more later...

Pumicestone dome or full on Day Spa?

I did discover it's really handy keeping a car closeby when working on things, so that you can keep checking scale. A little plastic person would probably be rather handy too.

Keep the good work coming.

We have the same sardonic wit,I'm picturing a cartoon granite dome with skinny arms and legs, big drooping eyes and goofy grin, in the shower with a luffa...

The average height of the Douglas fir trees around here are 80' to 100',in 1:32 that's a whopping 30" to 36"
more realistic for the diorama would be 12" to 18" ,half a meter.

Who sez diorama building isn't dangerous....
snagged it on a piece of wire mesh

it's not bad I had to squeeze pretty good to get that much blood

Glad to see you're getting serious enough to donate blood to the cause. My hands tend to look like I've been trying to give a feral cat a bath by the time I'm done winding a few wire trees.

It might seem a strange thing to say, but you may want to test what those large trees are going to look like before you go to the trouble of making too many. Tracks are such a small, confined world that sometimes a tree that's to scale can look ridiculously large.

For instance, my track area is 3.5m x 1.5m, which equates to an area of around 112m x 48m. The roadway itself is only about 440m long. I made a large gum tree that I intended to use on the track. Scaled up it was only 15m tall, but on the track table it looked ludicrous. It comes down to what looks right.

Nice idea Sig. And a patch of water over the track.

I do like that photo of the T'rana. Its good to see the first release sold elsewhere. Somehow, I don't think other issues will have the same success.
