Cheers mate.

It goes without saying it would involve SF as a priority. I really wish the forum had been around then, we struggled for participant racers and two of the crew had to race instead.

Wow! I would have flown over from the states to race on one of those layouts!

As to a copy of the show, I will take it on video or dvd or whatever I can get! Please keep me posted.

Put me down for a copy too, if possible, and will obviously be glad to pay all costs...
PAL, Secam or NTSC all okay with me - we live in a tri-standard dezoned environment.

For those of you ignorant about TV standards, the world has three, and here's the way a CBS guy explained this at a Satcom conference many years ago.

The Americans invented NTSC, which stands for
Never Twice the Same Color.

So the French came up with the improved SECAM, or
Système Electronique Contre les AMéricains

Meanwhile our friends across the channel finally developed PAL, or
Peace At Last

Cheers,
Don

Guys,

I can get a PAL VHS converted to NTSC for free. If the PAL DVD will work in my computer, I should be able to convert that for free using Adobe Premier. Otherwise, I would need the VHS or an NTSC DVD.

Again, I am happy to pay all costs.

Ok Chaps

Thanks to Cambridge Blue "Short Circuits" is now available on DVD.

Anyone who wants a copy can now have one if they contact me via PM.

No charges are made for a copy, however you will need to send me 2 No. (Yes two) blank 4.7GB DVD- R discs. You will also need to enclose a Stamped adressed "Jiffy" bag so that I can return the discs to you.

The initial copies I've made are of good quality, (Sound and vision), and are.......Ummm....Region free. Each DVD has a Menu system to access individual chapters and all advertisments have been removed.
I really don't know where we stand copyright wise on this issue as the original master was made from taping a TV program, and this is not being done for profit, mearly to share with friends.

The only downside is that you must suffer viewing Jon Swords knees!...so not for the faint hearted!.

Well done BJ. The copywright issues are not a problem as far as I am aware, making nil profit helps and I have checked over my contract and I did not sign away my copywright to CarltonTelevision Be aware my contract states I receive repeat fees!! Wow guys, I waver those if you are an SF member LOL.

The knees! Well that` s part of the hidden history of "Short Circuits". I will tell all as I doubt I`ll ever write my memoirs. At this point can I just highlight this fact. I am an average Slottie. Normal (ish) bloke and designer of SRA. I raised SRA from nothing because I wanted modern pit buildings and figures and I took over Phoenix when it was bankrupt because I love my club. These two facts are the start of the reason I got involved in "Short Circuits".

It all started with a phone call from a charming lady, very well spoken with the most awesome breasts I have ever seen on a woman.... The initial question was " can you supply a large quantity of SRA products to Carlton Television for a new series on Slot Racing?" Well ,of course I answered yes and the rest as they say is history. More next time if you guys are interested?

Hi Guys drummer here, I host web sites, & would also love to see the video, I also work with multimedia so could produce a web friendly version if that is required (and not already done!).

Perhaps jonny s would like PM me and have a chat about the filesize requirements.
