Rallyhub, you are right. I wrongly call it JWRC because I run it with the JWRC cars. There is nothing like fabrication.

Raid means..."Get the car paid for before the Boss finds out!"

Seriously, they are Dakar / desert raid vehicles.

Basically ultimate off-road 4x4's.

And they are wonderful.

what is not to like about the car

it is marvelous, i am quite jealous of that one

i am also glad that there is starting to come a nice variety of rally cars here

Here we go:

Four from AutoArt to begin with - absolutely beautiful to look at (especially the Pug), but they are lucky to get around the second corner without a magnet! Tuning material - for a rainy day!

Ninco Lancer is the no magnet champ, and not that far off the magnet boys. Lovely to drive. Maybe I should transplant the chassis and running gear into the AutoArt shell?

All good runners from Scalextric, but the RWD cars are not keen on being fully magnetless - a weak one towards the front works well. Escort motor is a hooligan; tyres through to the canvas!

Finally, a nice one from SCX waiting for the Alpine 110 to join it.

Bit of a disaster yesterday...the Power Slot Hummer thought it had too many wheels!

Actually, it will be going back to the retailer for the free replacement to the proper tyre compound.

Wheels fall off my cars all the time, and particularly my Fly trucks!! Just a drop of super-glue in the bit where the axle goes and that generally keeps the wheels on!!

I have to agree, that 997 is superb. One of the nicest Ninco cars for quite a while although the new Porsche classic they announced will need a damn good look.

Drat!! No luck. I thought I pulled it off, Swissracer.

By the way, I might keep the inserts in the car. The car is nice looking sometimes and not so nice looking some other times.
But the car drives fantastically in my rally track, excellent driving experience (just off with the mag and glue the tires).
