Sideways posted one picture of the McLaren GT3 prototype.

It looks really good and it is a nice addition to the GT3 lineup.

The prototype seems in a very advanced stage so it is time to start a thread on this.

The whitekit must not be far away.

Mmm, is this the car with the Senna edition in 1:1?

Looks a lot better proportioned than the M6 they did. Looking forward to this one, but maybe not as much as some other GT cars they could have chosen.

Some more news on this here: https://www.slotcarspassion.com/sideways-mclaren-gt3-2021/

The Ford GT will come out first. There is not more mentioning of the 488. This is a huge hole in the GT3 line up.

Then the Mclaren.

I agree with Heath here. They could have chosen something a bit more iconic such as the Bentley MKII with lots of exciting liveries already available.

The 720S will perform well as a slotcar given its low stance.

I can see and agree what sideways is doing.

Low and sleek. Take out the M6, you have the lambo, 488, mclaren and Ford GTE all low and sleek for performance. Will all be faster than Slot.it maserati and upcoming skyline GTR.

NSR has been dominating the GT class, about time someone kept them honest.

I have and love my 2 lambo's, passed on the M6 but will buy the ferrari, mclaren and GTE.

I just wish they would do something about the rear spoiler - either make it really flexible and magnetic like Revo. Also need a medium raptor motor - 21k with 300-320grm torque

There's a support for the BMW M6 wing in Thingiverse I think, you can print it in rubber or ask a friend to print it for you.

I just asked my friend Mike to print a few for me, as I dont have the rubber filament, charged me nothing as its about 1gr of material.

Havent installed yet but maybe tomorrow will see how it fits the model.

Cheers

Sideways has produced for both the lambo and m6 a rubberised option for their wings.

The Lambo rubber wing was a bit too soft but the M6 is of very good quality.

I assume they will do the same for the 720S.

It seems that you are obsessed with motors to match the specs for the NSR: is this because the regulations for the National GT3 only allow to use the stock motor coming with the car?

Sideways has decided to use for their releases the baby raptor which is a 17K motor. I think this is a very good decision for most home-based tracks.

We have to see how the Nissan GT-R and the Maser will perform: I would not bet money in discounting the slot.it GT3 offerings that easily.
