I notice the odd signature putting on a few pounds in weight recently!

A gentle reminder -
Signature Rules
Repeated below for convenience.
QUOTE ADMIN
QUOTE * Your Signature must be no larger in pixel size than 300 pixels wide and 150 pixels high or 400 pixels wide and 100 pixels high. Sizes in between these constraints are accepted.
Please note that "Signature " includes ALL text as well as any picture.

Standard size text takes 15 vertical pixels per line.
So, if you already have a max height pic, then sorry, but NO additional text may be added.
You must balance your pic height requirement against your text requirement and compromise accordingly.

A signature is intended ONLY as a recognizable sign off and should never dwarf the post content.
If it does, don't be surprised to see your sig disappear - it's the content of the post that counts!

Any problems, please drop me a PM

BTW, snowmanf... most of that info you have in your location field should really be in a signature. It stretches your posts in height, but as you quite often type only one or two lines, it creates large blank areas on the screen that I have to scroll though, thus over exercising my already tired scroll wheel finger...

Whoa! I always thought of myself as the soi-disant Signature Nazi here and thought it was just the image that had to fit that rule. Lots of the folks I've chased have cut their images to fit 300x150 or 400x100 and still have text in addition.

Could we change the rule to be the image conforms to those sizes and you get a single line of text?

Well, it is very difficult to limit text. Different people may view a page in different ways and at different resolutions also, they may magnify or reduce the text.

The size in the rules applies specifically to the image, but we request and have many times before too, that you keep the text under control. Too much text, too big text and too many gaudy colours in signatures make reading the forums difficult for others.
