someone does make slot car boxes and I'll be damned if I can remember the web address.
I believe Mark from pendle has one, but I'll still be damned if I can remember.

I use a briefcase style metal case that I bought from my local DIY shop for £16. I've seen them in most of the big DIY stores as well. I made some partitions and trays out of foam board (acquired from work
). In total I can carry 36 cars. More than enough for any race meet. I then carry the usual tool/spare box you can buy for around a fiver for the tools/spares etc.

I use a three drawer black and yellow tool box with. Enough room for 30 cars in the drawers and a ton of space for lubricants, tools and my PM controller. $25 well spent. Much better than the old fishing tackle box i started with.

I dont have any pic of my box but the planes are listed at www.slotside.com its a pretty simple box to build if you have a table saw. The box is alot like Nico's. I really like my box but thinking about building a new one and adding to the basic plan. There is also a really nice box on ebay for sale item # 3175637113 is a drag box and item #3175928761 is a regular box for 1/24 and 1/32 but they are a little pricey for my taste. Dont get me wrong they look like a top of the line box tho. Just think 9 ply Baltic Birch is just a little too much for a slot car box. This is just my thouhgts tho like some of the other guys said a $20 tool box works just fine that what i used when I first started then I buit a box I only have about $30 and my time in it. Slot side say you can build it for $20 but lumber isn't that cheap anymore.
