Hi. I am relatively new to the slot car hobby. Used to love it as a kid. Anyway, I am based in Australia and there a good few hobbies stores near me to look at. My general question is how big is the industry if anyone has any idea? How many sets do you reckon gets sold on an annual basis?

Crishtmas it's a big thing for slot cars, a lot of sets are sold at that time of the year!
20 years ago when Ninco, Fly and Slot-It appeared on the market there was a big boom for the slot car industry, in our days there are a lot of small brands (3D printing).
The numbers of sets sold per year only the dinosaur brands (SCX, Carrera and Scalextric) know!
