Hi all, just to let you know we will be running two drag racing elimination races on each day at the festival, at 11 o'clock and 2 o'clock.

These will be on a run what ya brung basis and will be either 8, 16 or 32 car fields depending on numbers.

There will be prizes for the winners of each race series. If you would like to take part you will need to be at the drag strip 5 minutes before the start time so that we can draw run numbers.

Each race series should take no more than half an hour (1 to 2 second runs) and you will need to hang around if you win a race.

If you would like to take part, please let me know.

The drag strip will be open for test runs and grudge races at all other times.

I hope to see you there.

Cheers

Thats great Steve. The drag strip is always a busy attraction.
If there are any Slotforum members out there building cars for this lets see them.
What set up are you going for?
Not long now

Thanks for the info. Steve, one of us from SLOT magazine will be there, camera poised.

Is it basically run anything you want?
You can count me and my boy in for this...Thanks
Hi Dave, do the 'loud' family have a tradition to uphold? I seem to recall loud kid winning the drag race competition at the first ever festival at Brooklands, racing under Concorde.
For those who missed that event we still have an old link on the website

Hi Loud, haven't seen you or your boy at the strip for a while, will be great to welcome you back.

Note to any interested drag racers, if we only get an 8 car field, races will be best of three, for added tension!!!

can we use bscra cars or is it only for hard body cars. also what scale are we aloud to use 1/32 or 1/24?
Hi Mark, it's 'Run-wot-ya-Brung' so anything goes really. If I get enough interest we could run 1/32 and 1/24 classes, but otherwise it' what you yurn up with.

Hope to see you at the strip.

Cheers

I'll see you in the morning...

Well done to Chelsea, Lewey and Luke for winning the Slot Drag Elimination races (following some very close races), we hope they are pleased with their Ninco Camaro Flame prize cars, sponsored by Gaugemaster.
