Great idea, but we've talked about it before. Not that we can't talk about it again, by all means.
Previous idea was to use a bog standard Scalextric Top Gear set - simple and compact. The only problem was that it has a lap counter that is accurate to 1/10th of a second and not to 1/100th of a second. This may not appear to be important, but when testing high performance slot cars, after a while it is important.
Anyway, we didn't move on from this. I found the track layout to be a little too small and would like to see a design at least twice as big. If anyone is keen on this, we can put up a standard track-plan and publish rankings for the track for different cars.
