Perhaps a year back there was a thread on slot free (R/C?) racing with perhaps a 1/43 scale. A Japanese manufacturer whose cars alone were about £200 apiece.

Does anyone know who the company were?

Surely if they are cars that don't need a slot and are radio controlled they are just R/C cars?? Or am I missing something??

Nope you aren't missing anything

the cars in the video and links above are R/C cars - the same bodies are now used for the dSlot43 - slot cars released by Kyosho.
