Hi Guys, I wonder if you could help me out, I'm having problems with the R8C.

On acceleration, the car seems to suffer through the mid power phase. Its like the motor is struggling to turn any faster, and then all of a sudden it'll snap into full. It reminds me of turbo lag.

Its not a problem with my controller, it does this both at home and the club, 60ohm sport and 25ohm Parma respectively.

I ran the motor at various voltage for a bit to see if that helped but its still suffering.

I recently fitted a new crown, could this be responsible? Its the same as standard, just a replacement for a toothless one.

Is the motor on the way out?

I'll check the crowngear and the braids, which ahvnt been changed since I bought it. Guess I overlook the simple things eh?

I'll probably get a motor just in case.

It seems to be allright with a change of braids and double checking the endlet thingys are in place properly, but thats at home and its hard to tell. Hopefully that will have sorted it, if club racing proves otherwise then a motor it is.
