I don't have the picture in front of me but I remember that Slot-it presented their Audi in a pit-stop diorama with several figures included.

There was never any mention that the pitstop building would be produced.

I will check this evening if the picture in the magazine is the one I have in mind.

I just checked the picture. It's a different one from the picture I had seen before.

I wonder if the building come from Slot-it at all since the figures are from Fly instead of SCX. So the building could be from Fly as well.

Fly WILL make pit buildings, drawings of these were shown in the MiniAuto magazine, though it is hard to say if the building shown on the picture is a prototype of these or only purpose made for fairs.

Hi GBMark,

The figures seen on that picture are definitely the very expensive ones made by Fly, not SCX. The Saleen and the 'vette in the top left corner are both from Fly as well.

Fly has revealed that they intend to produce the grandstands and pits from the Catalunya track. The big question mark is WHEN it is going to happen.

If you can't wait, there are several options to go for, avoiding the far from sexy Scalextric cardboard buildings.

A first one are the pit / grandstand made by SCX. A modern building, sadly produced in unrealistic colours.

Another possibility is Carrera. The grandstands are wonderful, the pits not too bad. Big problem is that they are out of production and therefore command a high price on (German) Ebay.

The third option is SRA. It is a modern great looking resin building, but it is sold as a kit, so you must be ready to do the painting job.

And then there's FLY ... I saw some of the drawings, it really looks promising but as I said we've got to be patient (as usual with Fly).
