Guys: I need to connect this controller to standard UK track practice i.e. a 2 amp 3 pin plug, having got it without a plug.

The three wires I have are red, black and white rather than the UK/European green/yellow, blue and brown.

From the 'net I gather that white will be neutral if it's U.S. wiring, but line can be black or red and earth should be like the UK, so green/yellow. I'm therefore not much further on than when I started! Which is which please?

Richard.

The Slotworks controller uses diodes and it will only work with positive polarity tracks if you want to use brakes. I presume the information in the previous post is correct, in any case the red wire goes to the brake contact, the black wire goes to the wiper arm and the white wire is full power. If you find that the controller only has off and full speed with nothing in between your track polarity is negative, which is the case with all of the out of the box plastic 1/32nd tracks. The fix for that is to leave the red wire disconnected and reverse the black and white wires. When Slorworks folded up Professor Motor took over and improved upon the design. Several years ago they switched to transistor based controllers.
