Hi Chris,
Thanks, think i might pop across to Gainsborough and say hi to you one thursday.
Not sure with the description i've borrowed from your website, sounds a bit ominous lol
Surely it's not that dingy, is it?
The Club is housed above a back street garage, down a dimly lit alley....al adds to the atmosphere!!!
As you enter, you are enveloped in the cool dankness of the building, devoid of any creature comforts, like plaster or heating.
You will pass the en-suite facility's to your left, that are complete with flushing toilet and 2 taps dispensing hot and cold running water. If you are gonna do anything that needs a wipe, you had best bring your own roll. Going home with only one sock, is not cool!!
Climbing the metal staircase to the club room, you will notice many large dusty cobwebs decorating the bare brick walls. Many of the spiders that live within these cobwebs are G-Slot's are members! This decor is seen throughout the building, but is more noticeable just here, as the strobing light plays it's trickery with every upward step you take.
At the top of the stairs, you are greeted by the stale smell of tobacco.
The rooms are tastefully furnished with mismatched pieces of 30yr old, threadbare carpets. There's no expense paid to make it a comfortable racing environment!
It is freezing in the winter, and roasting in the summer, but enough of my enticement, let's focus on the important stuff.....
