Hi all

Last nght we had a meeting at another new venue for FLBT - Chris's newly kitted-out 'den' in his garage. While the sofa and the games machine are yet to arrive, the garage is newly painted and insulated, and Ben's old slotstox track has been installed.

The track itself is a tribute to Ben's building skill as it's still in first class nick and is great to drive.

Seven of us turned up to race, with Chris's kids also making a cameo appearance before bedtime.

After a little bit of fettling, the club Trackmate was linked to the track and set up for 8 lap races and the fun began.

We raced four heats each, with Grandad Clive winning by many points from Robin. Can't remember the rest of the order, sorry and I left the sheet in the den.

Here's a couple of shots of our latest venue:

All the best Rob

Looks great chaps, sad I couldn't be there.

Hard to tell from here but I think you may have a problem with trackmate...... Did you say Clive won?

The Wellinbugger track is now a permanent fixture, it's been re-furbed into a single piece,6 lane, fully braided track.
Would you guys be up for an inter-club challange?
Say one round on your 4 laner & 1 on our 6 laner?

Hi there, What are the dimensions of that track, it looks just the job. Dodgy Dodsy and I are thinking of building a Stox/Autograss oval track in or around Thirsk, so it'd be nice to know sizes and what the racing is like.

Many Thanks,
Al

I think it's a 10 x 4 sheet of MDF at the most. Lap times in the 2.5 second bracket. I have seen Pinewood's track and it's bigger, maybe 12 x 6.

Yes, up for it but it's about two hours door to door judging by my recent trip to the 1/24 BOC race, may be difficult to achieve.

Would be good to see some photos of yours, do you race regularly?

Hi,
At Wellingborough I'm running a summer series on alternate saturdays 1200-15.00 ish.
We are also about to run Oval nascars too from the 7th may onwards until at least October.
Ther is a few pic's on the Wellingborough club forum & the club website.
There's also a few in my gallery.
This is a couple;

This is the track that is now at Wellingborough, before it was bolted to the table, the slot re-routed & braid laid down.

To the dismay of some club members we also race these on occasion
